Country Buddies Preschool is a new child care centre that recently opened in April 2016.
Here at Country Buddies we believe play is a child's work.
Our main goal is that your child will enjoy their time with other children while developing a curiosity and love of learning.
We offer semi-structured programmes of play where your child is provided with a wide range of resources so they can express their creativity.
Play is vital to a child's healthy development and growth as it allows them to find their own strengths and interests in an open environment.
Our teachers will assist your children in their development building confidence and problem solving skills. As teachers, it is our job to empower children to be independent learners to instill trust in their problem solving and encourage new ideas. Relationships with people are vital to children's well being and sense of belonging. Our teachers aim to form partnerships with families to help children achieve their goals. Families extend our ideas and enhance our programme.
Our curriculum is based on Te Whaariki, New Zealand's early childhood curriculum. Our bi-cultural and multi-cultural programmes will introduce your child to Maori through karakia, songs, language and art as well European and other cultures. Our practices support children's culture and family practices. Sparking interest to the different ideas and values of others helps children form positive and respectful relationship building skills.
Our open country environment offers a natural setting that incorporates trees and a very large grassed area. We have vegetable gardens to provide learning opportunities for caring for our planet.
Waste recycling practices are evident in our programme.
